Approach

Good photographs begin with attention: to light, to place, and to the way people behave when they are allowed to be themselves. I work with natural light wherever I can, and I would rather wait for something to happen than arrange it.

The work covers weddings, portraits, events and sport, and the same approach runs through all of it. Present when it matters, unobtrusive when it does not. The photographs should bring back the atmosphere, not simply show what happened.

I am based in Belfast and work throughout Northern Ireland and Ireland. Wedding couples receive a small preview within a few days and the complete gallery usually within four to six weeks. Fine art prints are available from the Around the World, Northern Ireland and Film collections.
